BILLY BOOKCASE IKEA DIY HACK | BUILT IN BOOKCASE WITH CABINETS

Follow me on Instagram: @katjanordkvist https://www.instagram.com/katjanordkvist My husband and I did this built in bookcase IKEA hack last year, using BILLY bookcases (202 cm) og KNOXHULT (40 x 75 cm) cabinets. To our regret we did not record the proces at the time, but in this video I explain the whole proces step by step, while showing you the end result up close and the tools that we used. Originally, we only did the cabinet wall and four bookcases on top in the right corner with our TV in the left corner, but later that year we decided to go all in and transform it into a giant wall-to-wall bookcase, creating the centerpiece of our living room. I can definitely recommend this! It gave us so much storage for books, board games and much more, and if you love beautiful vases, bowls and coffee table books just as much as I do, a bookcase like this is the perfect place to showcase all of it! This was our very first IKEA hack ever. Most of the tools that we used, we only bought because we needed them for this specific hack, which means that we built this without much knowledge about how to use any of them and we kind of figured out how to build the bookcase while we were actually doing it - my point being, that if we could do it, most people would be able to do it as well.
